Anna Thedford MA, is a full-time school counselor for the Oregon Trail School District who also works as a Certified Yoga Calm instructor in the community providing Yoga Calm workshops for children throughout the year.
Anna has a deep passion for working with children to help them find their pathway to their fullest potential. Through the years she has worked with special needs and at-risk youth in many different environments from schools, teen centers, youth shelters, and in home services. Anna graduated with her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Southern Oregon University in 2001. After graduating she moved to Maui to work with special needs youth for a year and then returned to her home town of
Anna works closely with the founders of Yoga Calm, which began as a year long internship during graduate school to most recently co-facilitating girls groups with Lynea Gillen (co-founder of Yoga Calm®). Anna was introduced to yoga in 1999 while working with at risk youth and mentoring a teen girls group. She discovered how beneficial yoga was to her personally and professionally where she now integrates it into her approach as a counselor in schools and through private practice.
