Yoga Calm® Fall Group for Girls
A four-month series meeting one Saturday a month, September thru December focusing on the principles of Strength and Community. Help your child develop healthy habits for a lifetime of wellness and happiness.
This series of workshops is designed to help girls identify and develop their personal strength in a supportive setting. Through yoga, dance, mask-making and discussion, girls will learn a variety of tools that will help them move through their life with confidence and awareness. Skills and activities include:
- Yoga poses to develop strength, concentration and self-confidence--and learn compassion and leadership skills.
- Simple breathing techniques to reduce stress, develop self-control and connect girls with their feelings.
- Traditional cultural dances that develop strength, endurance and community--and bring joy and healing to the body.
- Mask making - we will each make a mask of our "strong self."
- Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and mind and integrate physical, emotional and mental experiences.
Yoga Calm® Day Camp for Girls
A five day camp building upon the 5 principles of Yoga Calm®: Strength, Community, Stillness, Grounding and Listening. Each day focuses on a new principle to increase self awareness, inner-strength, communication skills, and stress management. Learning to develop and cultivate strong, positive, peer relationships.
This five day intensive workshop builds a strong community and support system of girls giving them tools to integrate into their daily lives.
